Perspective is built through experience.
Perspective Powered was founded on a simple belief:
The way we see a challenge shapes the possibilities we find within it.
What We Believe
A world where organizations work better because people, processes, plans and places work together.
VISION
We bring people, processes, plans and places into focus to solve complex challenges and turn possibility into practical progress.
MISSION
PILLARS
Ask before assuming. Understand what is actually happening before deciding what should change.
Stay Curious
Make complexity understandable. Define the problem, priorities, roles and a path forward.
Create Clarity
Connect the Pieces
Look beyond individual functions to understand how people, processes, plans and places affect the whole.
Make it Work
Move beyond good ideas. Build practical solutions that work for the people expected to use them.
Build for What Comes Next
Solve today’s challenge with tomorrow in mind, creating solutions that can adapt, endure and grow.
Perspective Powered was founded by Jessica Young, an operations and organizational leader, whose career has crossed functions that are often treated separately— from people and organizational development to operations, facilities, physical environments, strategic initiatives and complex projects.
Her strength is bringing those perspectives together: asking the right questions, finding connections others may overlook, and translating ambitious ideas into practical solutions that can actually be implemented.
She created Perspective Powered to bring that multidisciplinary approach to organizations and individuals navigating change, solving complex problems, reimagining spaces, or simply asking:

Receiving the Circle of Excellence Award in Business Continuity Planning for the UCOP System at UCLA, 2017.
I’ve spent more than 15 years working across the places where people, operations, strategy and physical environments meet— and even longer leading people. I started my career in housing operations and quickly found myself working across people, places and logistics. More than a decade later, the scale has changed considerably, but the kinds of problems I’m drawn to haven’t. My career has taken me through university operations, safety and risk, large-scale service delivery, client and program management, property and facilities operations, asset management, capital projects and organizational leadership. Along the way, I’ve led teams of more than 100 people, managed multi-million dollar operations and held responsibility for a national residential portfolio exceeding $40 million in assets.
The titles and industries have changed, but the work I’m drawn to has remained remarkably consistent: understanding complicated problems, finding the connections others may not see and creating a practical way forward. That perspective has roots beyond my professional experience. I studied Geography and Urban & Regional Studies at UCLA, disciplines that taught me to think about people, systems and places as interconnected rather than independent. Years later, that same idea became the foundation for Perspective Powered.
I founded Perspective Powered because I believe the hardest challenges rarely belong to a single department or discipline. Sometimes a people problem is really a process problem. A facilities decision can affect culture. A great plan can fail because no one accounted for what execution actually requires. Understanding the whole changes what becomes possible.
I’m naturally curious, practical and happiest somewhere between the big picture and the details that make it work. I believe in asking good questions, getting close enough to understand the real problem, and leaving things better— and more sustainable— than I found them. Outside of work, I’m a mom, a Colorado transplant who fell hard for the mountains, and someone who has always been fascinated by the way people interact with the environments around them. I am just as comfortable exploring a new place as I am figuring out how something works, why it doesn’t, and whether there might be a better way.
That curiosity is ultimately what powers my perspective.
See the Whole Picture
Organizations rarely experience challenges in isolation. A people problem may actually be a process problem. A stalled project may reveal unclear ownership. A beautiful space may fail because it was designed without understanding how people actually use it.
Perspective Powered looks beyond the obvious problem to understand the connections behind it— then turns that perspective into practical action.
Different challenges require different perspectives.
No two organizations— or projects— are exactly alike. We start by understanding yours.
